Van Gogh’s Sunflowers recreated as digital art

Van Gogh painted seven versions of his famous sunflowers in a vase. I wanted to see if I could recreate my own digital version of the third sunflower painting in the series which is displayed in the Neue Pinakothek in Munich. I used Procreate on my iPad and had a go. Procreate is very versatile and you can make artwork as complex or as simple as you wish. This video shows the process. I hope you enjoy watching it.

Landmark Arts Centre Portfolio

During the summer I had the opportunity to photograph the Landmark Arts centre in Teddington. Formerly the church of St Alban, it is now a vibrant arts centre, but still retains many of the original features and architecture. It is an immensely impressive building and is well loved in the local community.

I hope you enjoy my portfolio of this wonderful building.

Sacred Spaces Exhibition

Miyajima low res

Sacred Spaces was an exhibition of the work of seven diverse artists, curated by artist Jenny Meehan and on show at Leatherhead Theatre in May 2014. My idea was to portray places that provided an opportunity for contemplation and reflection. Three works from my Japan Portfolio were chosen to form part of this exhibition:

Please see the Sacred Spaces page on my website for the artist’s statement and information about the photographs selected.

Google Streetview – The Press Room, Surbiton

The exhibition of my work displayed in The Press Room Cafe in Surbiton has now ended, but has been captured for posterity by Google Streetview, who did a 360 degree interior of The Press Room last week. The exhibition was extended to include Google’s visit. Many thanks to Danilo for his help on this.
